Early maturing white hybrid
PAN 4M-23 is an early flowering and maturing white hybrid.
It has flint grain and is ideally suited to farmers who require an early maturing hybrid that can be double cropped with other crops, or for late planting when a short season high yielding hybrid is required
Can achieve yields of 9-10t/ha
Approximate days to 50% flowering: Warm region: 60. Cool region 67.
Approximate days to physiological maturity: Warm region: 125. Cool region 130.
Good leaf disease resistance to Grey Leaf Spot, Rust, Northern Corn Leaf Blight and Maize Streak Virus.
Short-medium plant stature with relatively strong stalks therefore presence low stalk lodge.
Presence good tip cover with quality flint grain,
Recommended planting population is 50 000 plants /hectare.
