98th Agriculture & Commercial Show -The Show May Be Over, But the Work Continues

After six days of activity, engagement and knowledge-sharing, the 98th Agriculture and Commercial Show came to a successful close at Lusaka Showgrounds.

Held under the theme “Fostering Trade and Investment,” exhibition which commenced on 29th July – 3rd August 2026, brought together thousands of farmers, exhibitors and visitors from more than 20 countries, providing a platform for businesses and agricultural stakeholders to showcase their contribution to Zambia’s economic and agricultural development.

For Livestock Services Cooperative Society, the 2026 Show was an opportunity to do what we have done for 35 years, serve the Zambian farmer.

Our participation went beyond showcasing products.

Throughout the six days, the Livestock Services team engaged farmers, businesses, partners and visitors through conversations, demonstrations and information on the range of livestock products and professional services available to support farmers across the value chain.

From veterinary services and animal nutrition to Artificial Insemination, laboratory services, irrigation, fish farming and other agricultural solutions, the stand provided an opportunity for visitors to better understand how our services can translate into practical solutions on the farm.

One of the defining highlights of the Show was being awarded 3rd Place in the Agro Service Category.

The recognition is a testament to the dedication of the entire team that represented Livestock Services throughout the exhibition.

From early mornings to late afternoons, team members worked to ensure that every visitor received a meaningful and professional Livestock Services experience. The award therefore represents more than the exhibition stand, it recognises the teamwork, preparation, commitment and pride behind it.

The Show also provided opportunities to engage with high-level stakeholders, including Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet for Finance and Economic Development, Mr. Siazongo Siakalenge, who visited the Livestock Services stand on opening day.

His visit, alongside engagements with farmers, exhibitors and visitors from across Zambia and beyond, reinforced the importance of connecting agricultural businesses and cooperatives to the broader national agenda of trade, investment and agricultural transformation.

The 98th Agriculture and Commercial Show enabled Livestock Services to:

  • Reach and engage thousands of farmers and visitors.
  • Showcase our expanding portfolio of products and professional services.
  • Strengthen relationships with farmers, partners, government and industry stakeholders.
  • Increase visibility of Livestock Services and its 35-year contribution to the agricultural sector.
  • Receive recognition through a 3rd-place award in the Agro Service Category.
  • Gather valuable insights into the needs and expectations of farmers and agricultural stakeholders.

Most importantly, the Show reminded us that our greatest achievement is not simply being seen, it is being useful to the farmer.

To every farmer who stopped by, every partner who engaged with us, every stakeholder who visited our stand and every member of the Livestock Services team who gave their best: thank you!

The 98th Agriculture and Commercial Show is over, but the conversations continue, the relationships remain, and the work of serving the Zambian farmer goes on.
