From 22–24 April 2026, the Veterinary Association of Zambia (VAZ) hosted its annual conference under the theme “Guardians of Food and Health.” The three-day industry-focused gathering brought together veterinarians, veterinary professionals and key players across Zambia’s animal health sector.
For Livestock Services Cooperative Society, the conference provided a strategic opportunity to participate not only as an exhibitor, but also as a contributor to the conference’s closed-door professional discussions.
The conference gave Livestock Services a focused platform to engage directly with professionals who play a critical role in animal health, production and food systems.
Through our exhibition and technical engagements, we were able to:
- Showcase our expanding portfolio of livestock services and recent organisational growth.
- Present key enhancements and solutions supporting Zambia’s livestock, wildlife and aquaculture sectors.
- Engage industry professionals on emerging needs and opportunities within the animal health sector.
- Strengthen alignment between our services and national priorities around animal health, productivity and efficient agricultural value chains.
Although the conference was not open to the general public, its impact extends far beyond the three-day event.
The professionals engaged at VAZ 2026 are directly involved in animal health, disease prevention, diagnostics, livestock production, food safety and veterinary service delivery. Creating a space for these experts to exchange knowledge and engage with service providers therefore contributes to strengthening the systems that ultimately support farmers and consumers.
For Livestock Services, the conference was an opportunity to listen, learn, showcase and collaborate with the professionals at the heart of Zambia’s animal health ecosystem.
Participation at VAZ 2026 strengthened Livestock Services’ professional visibility while creating opportunities for technical dialogue, industry networking and strategic collaboration.
More importantly, it reinforced our commitment to being a responsive and forward-looking partner in Zambia’s livestock and animal health sectors.
