A New Branch, A Stronger Connection to Farmers.
Livestock Services Cooperative Society took an important step towards strengthening its presence at community level through participation in the Chisamba District Agricultural Show, using the platform to introduce its newly opened Chisamba Branch to local farmers.
The engagement was particularly focused on small-scale farmers, creating an opportunity for the team to introduce the branch, showcase available livestock products and services, and, importantly, listen directly to farmers about the challenges and support they need to improve their operations.
The team engaged farmers on a range of services, including veterinary consultations, animal nutrition and quality livestock inputs.
Beyond promoting services, the engagement provided valuable insight into farmers’ needs and reinforced the importance of having professional livestock support closer to where farmers operate.
The opening of the Chisamba Branch therefore represents more than geographical expansion. It is part of Livestock Services’ commitment to making technical expertise, quality products and professional support more accessible to farmers at community level.
A key highlight of the engagement was a visit to the Livestock Services stand by the Chisamba District Commissioner. The visit provided an opportunity to share the organisation’s work and the role the new branch will play in supporting livestock farmers within the district.
Through the Chisamba Agricultural Show, Livestock Services was able to:
- Introduce the new Chisamba Branch to the farming community.
- Engage directly with small-scale and local farmers.
- Create awareness of veterinary, nutrition and livestock input services.
- Gather insights into the needs and challenges facing farmers.
- Strengthen relationships with local stakeholders and government representatives.
- Reinforce our commitment to accessible, community-based livestock services.
The Chisamba Branch brings Livestock Services closer to the farmers who need its expertise, helping bridge the gap between professional livestock services and the communities that depend on agriculture for their livelihoods.
New branch. Local presence. Professional support.
