On 31st March 2026, Livestock Services Cooperative Society participated in the Msekera Field Day held at Msekera Research Station in Chipata District, bringing livestock expertise closer to farmers and strengthening the link between agricultural production and essential support services.
The field day brought together key players across the agricultural and financial sectors, including Glanco, Zambia Correctional Service, the Ministry of Agriculture, Zanaco, CAMCO, and other service providers, creating a collaborative platform for knowledge-sharing and farmer engagement.
With more than 800 farmers in attendance, the event provided an important opportunity to address the practical challenges farmers face across the agricultural value chain.
Representing Livestock Services, the Chipata Branch joined other exhibitors in providing free consultations to farmers. The team engaged directly with farmers on livestock health, animal management and best practices, complementing the field demonstrations on crop production, farming methods and seed selection.
This direct engagement enabled farmers to access practical information and professional guidance relevant to improving livestock productivity and integrating livestock into their broader farming enterprises.
The presence of Chipata District Commissioner Elidah Mwanza as Guest of Honour, highlighted the importance of collaboration between government, farmers, research institutions and private-sector service providers in advancing agricultural transformation.
For Livestock Services, the field day was more than an exhibition, it was an opportunity to listen to farmers, share technical knowledge and demonstrate our commitment to accessible livestock services at community level.
Through the engagement, Livestock Services:
